This is another popular back packer bar right in the Melbourne CBD. It's a bit rough around the edges in ways i find myself liking more and more. One it's open til 3am every night and two it's the sort of place a solo drinker like myself, when all my friends have packed it in!, can end up having many fun adventures with the colorful characters who drink and also work here.
The specifics. Couple of pool tables, hip hop videos and music, great balcony during the early evening and then a little smoking bit at night. Again its below a backpackers so always has a few people but i've never seen it super busy. I've had some seriously strange yet fun nights here. The best being when i met the awesome bartender Brianna got invited to a party at her house the next night and ended up dancing in a room full of friendly strangers to Aqua.
Recently i got taught by an ex boxer how to throw a good hook and that toothpaste shots actually taste great but not as good as cookie monster shots. The only thing i don't like is the security. If your tipsy and a boy alone just forget it.
If you're feeling like drinking adventures of the random sort give this place a crack or just come play pool in the city on you're lunch break.
