I remember a time when ding dong was a dingy dark place with sticky carpet. One fire and major renovation later it's now been relaunched as Ding Dong Lounge and as the name suggests is now very loungey indeed. They still have a massive band room and hold a lot of gigs and live DJ sets, but also have a very smooth front bar to chill in as well to chill in. Lots of great booth seating in the front bar and the Band room as well, just try not to fall asleep in they as they are dangerously comfy.Serving full range of cocktails, big range of beers and then the usual shots and spirits. They have a great smoking area that looks out to the action of market lane and Wednesdays have a free soul night currently. The staff we're super friendly to my solo drinking self as well and the security are good.
