Boney

Boney
68 Little collins St
Melbourne, 3000

Boney is the revamped and renewed version of Pony bar. Pony was a Melbourne drinking icon, open incredibly late hours, late night band spots and lots of people who want to keep the night candle burning. It's been taken over by the team who run The toff in town and they have really put in a lot of work. I think they've done really well to keep all the good and lose the bad.

Boney has two seperate bars and sections. Downstair is a dining room and counter bar and the upstairs band room has it's own bar with a large dancefloor. Given it's late hours boney often turns into a dancing destination and is always filled up with people. The downstairs remains fairly quiet most of the time so if you want a relaxing drink and a meal you can as well. Bands make a regular feature as well and they have kept the 2am band spot as well.

They now have a full kicthen and are serving up some great fare. I really like it that food is becoming more of a feature in most Melbourne night spots. It's always good when you don't havee to leave the fun to re fuel. Boney is open until 3 most week nights and 7am on the weekends.
